Happy new year, and thank you to everyone who opens these posts and bears with me while I share a few thoughts with you every week. Perfectly Cromulent is almost at 200 subscribers… do you want to help get me there??
2025 feels like a big year for me: I turn 50 come October and I believe these milestone birthdays deserve a whole year of special attention. I have some fun things planned as well as some big goals and dreams. In order for these to feel possible, I have to let go of some fears and self-limiting beliefs. In this context, an Instagram post from the always insightful Brittney Cobb (@ablackfemaletherapist) really spoke to me.
“What’s one fear I could face this year that would unlock growth or freedom?”
I don’t know about you, but I think I have more than one to chose from. This is a question I’m pondering as I consider what I might need to move past, or around, or over in order to do the work I need to do to get a little closer to those dreams.
Speaking of dreams, I appreciated

- on betting on yourself:What are your fears? Your dreams? How will you bet on yourself?
What I’m reading: Here One Moment by Liane Moriarty. Incredibly hard to put this one down!!
What I’m watching: The Empress on Netflix. Worth a watch in my opinion.
